About City Cruises

City Cruises are based at Cherry Garden Pier, and their Riverliners can be picked up from various points on the Thames, offering a great way of taking in more than one family attraction while enjoying the sumptuous surroundings of a City Cruises ship. City Cruises carry 750,000 people a year on their sightseeing, ferry, entertainment and charter services. The winner of many awards, including Best River and Canal Boat Operator at the Group Travel Organiser annual awards for six of the last eight years, City Cruises provide a perfect end to a family day out – or the start of one! A trip with City Cruises is just the ticket for a relaxing ride taking in splendid sights via the panoramic windows of the open upper decks and lower saloons.

Cruises depart the Westminster, Waterloo, Tower and Greenwich Piers every day except Christmas Day, providing an all-weather family day out, or short excursion, whether a half hour jaunt between pier stops, or a two-and-a-half hour round-trip ticket, along with a breakfast, lunch or dinner and the use of two bars stocked with light refreshments and snacks.

Millennium of Peace is one of the new M2 City Cruises liners with individual interior design themes based on the seasons, and they offer the only direct river service between central London and the former Millennium Dome at Greenwich. Lunchtime cruises depart daily from St. Katherine's Pier by Tower Hotel and a ticket includes an after-lunch commentary on the sights. The route crosses the Greenwich Meridian and passes into the Eastern hemisphere, while the Catamaran construction of the M2s ensures a stable ride whatever the conditions on the Thames.

The London Showboat offers cabaret cruises with a welcome drink, half a bottle of wine and a four-course meal, live music and dancing to the best tunes from the musicals songbooks, all with a backdrop of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, Cleopatra’s Needle, the London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, Blackfriars, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, the Golden Hinde, Shakespeare’s Globe, Tate Britain, London Aquarium, The Royal National Theatre and the Royal Festival Hall on the Southbank, Canary Wharf, the Greenwich O2 Arena, and the Thames Flood Barrage.

Permanently moored alongside Victoria Embankment, the RS Hispaniola Restaurant Ship additionally boasts 130 seats in its air-conditioned restaurant, as well as a cocktail bar, function rooms and sun terraces, which are open for tapas and drinks until 11 pm and can be booked for private and corporate events – just the ticket for an impressive gathering under the stars.

Other facilities on offer include entertainers and ice sculptures, while Christmas and birthday celebrations and wedding receptions can be arranged on any of the City Cruises vessels. With City Cruises operating every day of the year except Christmas Day, and with disabled facilities and access throughout, it’s a family attraction that everyone can enjoy.
